I'm Rebecca Blanchard, a multi-disciplinary visual artist residing in Oakland, California. I focus largely on portraiture, capturing vignettes that blur the line between ordinary human activity and its magical eccentricity. I draw inspiration from figurative and abstract expressionist art movements, and have been influenced by Richard Diebenkorn, Hilma af Klint, and Noah Davis. I graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. In addition to my work in visual art, I am a musician and I make jewelry.
